WOLDS sole purpose is to raise money for those in need.
Music is our passion and we feel extremely fortunate to have experienced so many amazing times due to a mix of hard work and good fortune. It's time to give back and pay some of that luck forward and help people who really need it.
We took a decision early on to initially support charities that mean a lot to us personally. Once we feel we have supported those charities sufficently we intend to put it to our followers to decide what cause we donate each track to.
What does a WOLDS donation comprise of?
because there are a lot of cogs in play when raising money via music, we felt we'd better explain the sums. Each donation is calculated as:
The gross digital & streaming sales of our music minus any platform fees taken before WOLDS receives a penny. These fees are the % the platform (e.g Apple, Amazon..) takes from a sale on their platform. You can read more about those fees on our distrubution partners page, here: TuneCore

Any donation via our Spotify donate link minus Paypal transaction fees - you can avoid the Paypal fee by sending donations as a family and friends payment, however people do make the mistake and therefore we unfortunately lose part of their donation to corporate greed.

Any Bandcamp 'pay what you want' download minus Bandcamp and Paypal transaction fees.

100% of all Net merchandise sales. We divide the merch sold in the year by the number of tracks we have (that feels fair, right?!). Net means, total sale sum received minus paypal transaction fee and the cost to print & design the item in the first place - to ensure we don't end up losing money personally.
What we promise we won't do!
WOLDS does not use your kind donations to fund the distribution or recording of our music or anything else. What we receive from sales and streams goes directly to the charities. Note that we do not receive the data or money from sales until roughly 3 months after the song has realeased.
We are morally wired to ensure this is the case, so much so that we will publish our figures every year!
Who are WOLDS?
WOLDS is a charity focused music project set up in early 2023 by Paul Green, singer of Devil Sold His Soul & The Arusha Accord.
WOLDS sole aim is to raise money for charities, good causes and community projects. Established as a means to give back to those that need it most.
All sales and streaming revenue from WOLDS songs go to the causes named against each track, for life!

It may be early days for WOLDS but thanks to your generosity we have raised a total of £1,638.82 for the charities so far!!
The great thing about our set up is every year we will be adding to the donation figure for each charity regardless if it was our 1st track or most recent.
